went to Malaysian Red Crescent Society yesterday with ann. got there at around 1pm, and were assigned the task of wrapping and arranging boxes containing mineral waters, nestle prebio 1, 3-in-1 nescafe sachets that probably came straight from the manufacturers themselves. At one point, we got tired and we went to hangout with a bunch of middle-aged men who apparently are in-charge of communication. (got tht "u look like a chinese" bit again...weird considering tht i'm sooo dark now. but weirder things hv happened when i hangout with ann, like when listeing to us talk, ppl would think ann is a chinese and me a sarawakian or a sabahan, like "huh?" ). anyway, they've been to aceh a coupla weeks ago, so we told them tht we're also interested to go there...hehehe (as if we're qualified) ...and were advised against it as the situation there is still very bad... anyways, they asked us wht we were doing in the heat of the afternoon sun prior to hanging out with them, told them about the boxes and stuff, and they were like, "ha? itu keje org laki, pegi lipat baju kat sana tu, ambik yg elok, yg buruk buang je". (huh? tht's a man's job, go and fold the clothes over there, keep the good ones, throw away the bad ones.)...smiling, we said, ok ok, and off we went back to the packing area...that was certainly more fun than folding up old used clothes tht we wouldn't know which to throw and which to keep...hmmmm, come to think of it, as volunteers, we were pretty darned choosy, werent we?..hehehe, anyways, they welcome more volunteers, no, they NEED more volunteers, so go gO GO... volunteers r treated well, they are served b'fast, lunch, tea..not sure abt dinner tho'.
second half of the day, went to seoul bulgogi, had a good time stuffing ourselves with the steamboat buffet they got there...the place is nicer, cleaner and cooler than nelayan ttwangsa, but still could not beat nelayan shah alam, dont know if it's still open, but the last time we went there, they also got the grill plate around the pot, in fact, think it was the only nelayan tht had it, and best of all, it offered satay meat on the buffet list, yummy ....too bad it was closed for renovation not long after tht visit..
