I admit, i've been watching quite a lot of his movies lately, kalu bole, nak tgk suma sekali, sbb he really hasnt done tht many pon so far. But the ones he did, he did them convincingly.
So while googling for more info on this guy, i found that he own a Moroccan restaurant in Beverly Hills. The name's Tagine (that's with a tdho-huruf jawi tht i dont know how to spell in rumi) and he co-owns it with a Moroccan guy and another guy whom I assume is in-charge of alcoholic drinks (because tht wht he specializes in pon).
So in the mood of gatal2 takde keje and curious nak tau if i can dine there if i happen to be in beverly hills (aminnn!), i emailed them and asked if they serve halal food, not expecting much as 2 of the co-owners arent muslim, only the chef is, plus it's in the beverly hills pulak tu, plus, it's quite mahal and dpt byk bintang. But surprise surprise, this is what i got,

-- okla, maybe ayam tak sembelih kot, Tp at least ada effort nak make sure ada daging halal kan, so i take it as a good effort la jugak, and besides kalu seafood, sure ok punya. Dan paling penting, they seem to understand the concept of halal! (kalau mamat nama zakaria ni tak paham gak, tak taula...)

semangat eti! lepas ni takde masalah nak makan kat situ. haha. but seriously it's good that the world is moving towards halal food. macam aku sekarang ni in the halal industry so it's quite surprising to know that in US alone, supermarkets are slowly stocking up halal food that are certified by their halal governing bodies. even some schools in US starting to serve halal food in the canteens.

you're in halal food industry, woot woot! Aku dgr food je, somehow i'm thinking, bestnya! But yes, for those who eat meat, really, what's the problem with eating halal food, right? Cumanye, there's a group that is against it simply because they think tht we practise cruelty on animal. Bet they already know that the blood is infested with germs, hence the cut at the main artery in the neck. But i guess, they still prefer to be cruel towards themselves kot... oh, well....

Tapi clubs semua x lasting kut. There's always a trendy new club. Eh byk gak artis bukak restaurant kat hollywood/beverly hills. Tapi pandai la si ryan ni bukak halal restaurant sbb additional target market kan? Thanks for sharing this info,by the way :)

hehehehe. dia bukak sbb dia suka mknan moroccan je kot. I doubt he even cares about the future direction of the food industry pon...
ntah2 ke meat tu dia maksudkan semua jenis meat kot? udang, ketam, lembu, kambing dan juga ayam serta turki :) hehehe.
tapi just wondering whether their understanding of halal is correct or not? But some scholarly opinions say that kalau orang tu kata halal, kita macam kira dah buleh bedal dah. hehehehe
hopefully one day dapatla merasa to dine in Beverly Hills! Amen! Haha
